What a privilege it is to serve as a liaison to several local
missions groups here in the city. Some of these groups are:
Bridges to New Life, University Christian Ministries,
Freedom's Door, Teen Challenge, Harmony House, Esther
Place, Metro Ministry, Care and Share, Gospel Mission,
Kelowna Drop In Centre, Kelowna Outreach Urban Health
Centre and Church Serve. It is my plan to be in closer contact with each
of these outreaches in the future. I have had the privilege of speaking to
many of the leaders of these mission groups and I plan on continuing
that.
I'm also heavily involved with Hockey Ministries International, a
missions organization dedicated to provide spiritual life to the world of
hockey. In BC there are 29 hockey chapel programs that are operating
from the Vancouver Canucks right down to six WHL clubs, 17 Junior A
clubs and five Junior B clubs. I am excited about what the Lord is doing
in all these areas of ministry. Please pray for these missions groups as
we all work together, expanding the Kingdom.
Freedom's Door would like to give back to the community and allow their men the opportunity for gratuity. There is no hourly rate involved however a show of appreciation in the form of a cash gratuity given to those who help is appreciated (as well as any dumping fees that may be involved). Please call Freedoms Door at 250 717 0472 to arrange for your spring clean-up. Information sheets available at the Info Kiosk.
