Basic Computer Training

Hi Irv,

The Head Mistress of the Wellspring Academy asked me quite pointedly, to pass on to you and to Evangel, a big heartfelt thanks for all who pitched in to send me to Rwanda to teach the teachers how to use computers. I can't put it quite how she did, but the teachers echoed her sentiments, wanting Evangel to know how much they said I'd blessed them by coming, and how Evangel had blessed them by sending me.

They are so grateful for all the support I was given to get me there, and they are hoping I can return in the future. I told them I'd like to return, but that such a trip is contingent on the future willingness of people to fund another trip, as I did not travel on my own support, but on the support of others. I told them this means I can't presume the ability to return, but that if ever given the chance, I'd love to return, definitely!

I think I left part of me back there. Actually I know I left part of me back there! Left bits of me all over that campus. If I hadn't needed to return for the sake of my kids, I could have stayed there.

PRAYER NEEDS

  • Prayer for someone to come and help Nicholas with managing Bible studies for 600 widows and orphans in his geranium project. This would amount to a full time job in his opinion.
  • Someone(s) to cover the cost of 8 UPS units for the computer lab to condition the power and protect the computers.
  • Praise that the gerbils were still alive when we returned, but prayer for one who appears to now have a stump for a foot due to what looks like chewing when the toilet paper rolls disappeared in their cage without replacement.
  • Praise that Diego, our cat, greeted us warmly rather than in any sort of punishment cats can be known to give.
  • Praise for my health while in Rwanda, that my allergic asthma didn't kick up
  • Praise that I didn't contract Yellow Fever as I couldn't take that particular vaccine due to an egg and chicken allergy(anephylactic response)
